Kellogg's has teamed up with Feeding America, the nation's leading hunger relief program, to help fight hunger. In April, Kellogg's announced it was donating an entire day's worth of cereal production to Feeding America. Now Kellogg's is making it easier for consumers to help feed the hungry while helping them fill their own pantries. You can visit kelloggs.com/feedingamerica to make a donation. When you make a donation of $5 or more, Kellogg's will reward you with Kellogg's cereal coupons worth $5. This program will run for three months or until $1 million in donations have been made and 200,000 coupons have been distributed. During these difficult financial times it is especially important for people to lend a hand.
According to recent reports:
-One in eight Americans is struggling with hunger. Food banks are struggling to keep up with demand.
-On average, a 30% increase in demand for assistance has been reported by food bank agencies.
-More than 36 million Americans don’t have enough food to go around at mealtime. One third of them are children.
You can also donate directly through the KelloggsCares Facebook Page. While you're there take a minute to view and share the new people powered web video, directed by Demi Moore and produced by Ashton Kutcher, that encourages donations to Feeding America.
